Certified nursing assistants are currently in high demand and the need is projected to continue through 2028. Moon River Nursing Careers is now working in partnership with the American Red Cross to train nursing assistants. Upon successful completion of the training program, a student is prepared to take the Virginia Board of Nursing exam to become a CNA. We are now enrolling students for June 22 – July 30, 2020 class.
The course includes:
50 hours of on-line instruction using the American Red Cross curriculum
30 hours in the skills lab
40 hours clinical training done in the skills lab during the pandemic
Students are provided with masks and gloves to wear for all labs and clinicals. Classes are small and done in full compliance with CDC social distancing guidelines. Lab and clinical sessions are offered in four hour time slots and can be scheduled mornings, afternoons or weekends.
